Hen parties in Manchester

Hen Parties in Manchester

Accommodation

In Manchester we stayed at the Midland Hotel which is in the city centre near the town hall. A very short taxi ride away from both Manchester Piccadilly and Oxford Road train stations. Would you like to book a hen party at this hotel? Then drop me a line to help@henpartyhelp.co.uk and I will try and negotiate you a discount!

Other hotels in Manchester

There are lots of hotels in Manchester - and the city centre is quite easy to get around. I'd recommend getting a hotel that's firstly got enough rooms to accommodate you all (!) but also is close to the city centre, or close to one of the activities you are doing. This keeps taxi costs (and hassle!) down.

Friday night - Sex and the City at the cinema

On the Friday night there were quite a few of us around and as the date coincided with the release of the Sex And the City film, we thought it would be rude not to go and see it. I booked the tickets in advance at the AMC Cinema in Manchester - tel 0870 7555657. After the film, we all went for cocktails and food at the Living Room (there are branches of the Living Room all over the UK and they can be quite good venues for cocktails and food).

Saturday day - spa treatments

Saturday day was fairly relaxed. We all met for lunch in the hotel and some people had spa treatments at the hotel during the afternoon.

Saturday night - and the air is getting hot. Ooo baby.

We all got ready for our night out and then met in one of the hotel rooms for champagne. I read my comedy made up poem – which I think almost got a tear from the bride to be and even from her mum as well. We also played a game that one of my friends had made - it was kind of like a cross between Charades, Go For Broke and Monopoly all in one. It was brilliant!

We also made the bride to be a CD of songs that all reminded us of her. If she guessed who had nominated the song - then she won a little prize from that person. If she got it wrong then she had to do a forfeit.

Saturday night - Pizzeria Italia and The Birdcage!

We then all got in taxis and headed to Pizzeria Italia where we had pretty much the upstairs of the restaurant for our party. Lots of wine, pizzas and games ensued, ending with the bride dressed up as a Red Devil/Mickey Mouse (long story) and the bridesmaids all with halos on their heads (of course). After our meal, we headed off to the Birdcage for some cheesy dancing and entertainment. The club is part of the Manchester Arndale and across from the Printworks. It has a drag show and then dancing in between. A great cheese fest.

About 3.30am, we stumbled out and got in the nearest black taxis. All in all a very happy hen....

This was Natalie's hen do and she had the following to say about it

" I had a fantastic hen do, it really was one of the best weekends of my life.

I was so touched that my bridesmaids had thought about and organised every moment of the weekend from the moment we arrived in Manchester.

I loved every minute of it from the cinema and cocktails on Friday, the spa afternoon on the Saturday to dancing away in my mouse ears in the cheesy club on the Saturday night!"
